The Wings & Wheels Modelers was established in 1990 as a small, non-profit, non-affiliated model club. In 1993 we became affiliated with the International Plastic Modelers' Society (IPMS) with a goal to promote an interest in the hobby of scale modeling throughout the greater Western Massachusetts and Connecticut area. As a Region 1 Chapter of IPMS o Our club has become a large diverse group, with more than 50 members, covering every aspect of plastic and figure modeling. Meetings are on the first Wednesday of the month at the First Congregational Church in West Springfield starting at 7:00 PM and average attendance is more than 20 members.

You needn't be a member to just visit us; we welcome modelers of all ages and skill level. Whether you want to learn new techniques, start building models, improve your own talents, or share your expertise with us, we at the Wings & Wheels Modelers should have something of interest to share with you.

Our monthly meetings are designed to focus on all aspects of this hobby by providing a forum for members and modelers to share ideas, information and techniques. The meetings agenda consists of the club business and a show and tell of recent models either underway or completed. Check the event area for additional demonstrations.

Yearly membership is $15 per year and runs from June 1 to May 31. We have a discount if join both the Wings & Wheels and the National IPMS at the same time. Our own Wings & Wheels monthly newsletter is posted on-line (or mailed to those without access). Click here to access a membership form or stop by and pick one up at our next meeting, we would enjoy meeting you.
